About





Grace Mallinson (she/her) is a set, costume, and graphic designer currently based in Geelong, Victoria.

Grace’s artistic ethos is grounded in sustainable and environmentally conscious design practices. She favours found objects and recyclability and reusability of materials, aiming to create collaborative works that realise visual storytelling in ecologically responsible ways.

Grace graduated with a Master of Production Design from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2021 and holds a Bachelor of Design from the University of Melbourne, with a double major in graphic and performance design.

Grace has contributed to a variety of theatrical works, including ‘Someday We’ll Find It’ (2024: Adelaide Fringe Festival. 2023: Melbourne Fringe Festival), ‘She Wrote The Letter’ (2022: La Mama), and ‘Little Women’ (2021: Melbourne Conservatorium of Music). Grace completed internships under Nathan Weyers (Form Imagination), contributing to the construction of sets for the Korean tour of Broadway’s ‘Hadestown’, and the Australian premiere production of ‘Moulin Rouge’.

Grace also received the VCA Director’s Design Award for excellence in set and costume design.
